Metro (Indonesia)
Metro ((:ˈmetro); historically known as Trimurjo) is an Indonesian city (''kota'') located in Lampung. Founded in 1936, it covers an area of and had a population of 145,346 at the 2010 Census; the latest official estimate (for January 2014) is 152,428.
==Etymology==
Metro comes from the Javanese word ''mitro'', meaning friend. The name was chosen to remind the migrants to work together.
